A sustainability tool that wastes resources itself isn’t credible. That’s why we’ve made a few choices you might not see, but that definitely count.
We reuse what’s already been calculated
Generating a report requires computing power, and computing power costs energy and money. That’s why the platform saves the result. If your data hasn’t changed, you’ll get the existing report back instead of a new one.
That same principle explains the limit on how many times a year you can publish. Every publication triggers the calculation and AI analysis again. Three times is plenty to correct a mistake, and it keeps the number of unnecessary recalculations low.
Green servers, and AI that runs on them too
The site and the AI analyses run with a provider that uses renewable energy. That doesn’t solve everything, as an AI model always costs energy, but it makes a significant difference compared to the standard choice.
We also don’t use AI for everything. Only where a model truly adds something a calculation can’t: reading a document, summarizing a website, or formulating advice. Numbers are simply calculated.
Lightweight pages
No heavy images, no trackers, no third-party scripts that only collect data. A page that loads quickly consumes less on your end and on ours.
We track our own impact
For every AI analysis, we estimate how much CO₂ it cost, and these estimates are tracked. Measuring what you do yourself is the least you can expect from a platform that asks others to do the same.
This section will be updated with the actual figures as soon as they are reliable over a longer period.
What this isn’t
This isn’t a claim that the platform is climate neutral. It’s a series of choices to keep the impact small, with the same honesty we ask of you when you publish your own footprint.
