An administrator opens the label for each accommodation. This is a deliberate choice: a label process involves guided work, and a file that stalls halfway through helps no one.

What you see without an open process

You will see the module, but without criteria, scores, or numbers. Instead, you’ll find an explanation about the label and two buttons: Request guidance and a link to the selection tool if you’re not yet sure if this label is right for you.

That is by design. As long as the process isn’t open, a score would give you the wrong impression: the profile check hasn’t happened, your documents haven’t been read, and no one has agreed with you on which year you are tackling.

Requesting guidance

Click on Request guidance. Three things then happen: your request is saved, a message is sent to us, and the request is added to your accommodation’s history. You can also withdraw it using Withdraw request.

What happens next depends on the conversation, not the software. A request is not an automatic approval.

What opens up

As soon as an administrator enables the label, the full dashboard appears: the profile check, the seven theme cards, the score, the price indication, and the submission package. The criteria themselves come from the shared catalog, so you don’t start from scratch: everything the module can pull from your footprint and documents is already there.

Labels you already have

If you already have a label, it belongs in your core data under Previously obtained labels, including the start year. The module uses this to determine if your application is a first-time application or a renewal, so it won’t ask that question again in the wizard. On the dashboard, this is shown as First application — no EU Ecolabel held yet or Renewal — EU Ecolabel already held.

Declaring that you hold a label is not the same as an open process. The first is your declaration; the second is guidance that we open up. Declaring a label does not automatically grant access to the wizard.

The certification module works by invitation.
