Today, that is the EU Ecolabel: 67 criteria, 142 separate declarations, an official verification form, and a folder of supporting documents. The module keeps track of this, fills in what it can from your own data, and ultimately delivers the package you submit to the competent authority.

You don’t have to do everything at once. Everything is saved per working year, and you can revise any answer later.

Five principles

You declare, the authority decides. The module never says that you meet a criterion. It keeps track of what you declare and which evidence belongs with it. The competent authority assesses this, with an on-site inspection. An AI suggestion is also never an answer: you must confirm it yourself.

“No” is a valid answer. You can simply complete a criterion you don’t meet with a ‘no’. That’s why the module keeps two things separate: completed (you’ve looked at it and answered) and compliant (you also meet the requirement). A file where everything is set to ‘yes’ but nothing is correct won’t help you through an audit.

Reuse what’s already there. Your energy, water, and CO₂ come from your footprint. Your documents are read and suggested for criteria. For sixteen declarations, we prepare a draft text that you can adjust and confirm. What we can fill in, we do.

Nothing is mandatory to start. The profile check asks seven things and, based on that, skips the criteria that don’t apply to you. What you don’t have, we don’t ask for.

Honest about what we don’t know. Prices are indications based on assumptions. Where regulations or monitoring frequency aren’t certain, it says so.

How it works

Step

What happens

Open track

The module works by invitation. If your track isn’t open, you can request guidance.

Profile check

Seven questions about your accommodation. You can apply for Green Key and you’ll see the label, but the guidance behind it doesn’t exist yet: the criteria list, the wizard, and the submission package are built on the EU Ecolabel. If you choose Green Key in the selection tool, the module will tell you so literally instead of putting you in the wrong track. It hasn’t been determined yet when Green Key will follow.

Who can do what

Anyone with access to the accommodation can read the content. Filling in answers and linking evidence can only be done by those with edit rights: the owner, or someone with whom the accommodation has been shared with edit rights. Without edit rights, the buttons won’t appear and the reason will be stated below.

The certification module builds your file for a recognized sustainability label.
